I am actually confused to hear neagtive reviews about this book. It’s actually a good one….at least I think so. People can be really critical!
I actually a big fan of Amherst Media publications….just check my profile. Why do I like most of them (notice I said MOST)? They are often well written and help the reader get creative and THINK. Yes, some of the titles may be a bit misleading at times, but it’s really the content that matters. This book has excellent content….and HOW do you go wrong with the price of these books?
Try it….you’ll like it!

50 Lighting Setups was one of the best value photography books that I have purchased in recent years. The only thing better than the detailed lighting diagrams was the vivid pictures that encompassed each page. I highly recommend this book for anyone who has serious aspirations of entering photography; it is a must read.

Just like it says: easy setups. Great diagrams with pictures on every page. Photos look a little dated but they give the beginning photographer great ideas on how to get started. Would definitely recommed this book.

Easily-followed lighting designs and diagrams make 50 LIGHTING SETUPS FOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS a key acquisition for any photography library and many a public lending collection. Dozens of images created for actual assignments come from a photographer who takes pictures of people in all walks of life. Targeted text and diagrams accompany each image and offers visual examples of lighting theories. Very highly recommended, especially for libraries catering to professional and neo-pro photographers.
