Beginning as the unofficial photographer for punk legends The Misfits and later taking charge of the bass guitar as a founding member of underground pioneers Samhain and metal gods Danzig, the evil eye of Eerie Von’s camera captured the dark heart of rock’s most vital a… More >>

I knew at some point Eerie Von had some great photos he was going to unleash.

    This book is just that!

He doesn’t go into a lot of cool detail about any certain members of

any of the bands, and I was hoping to find out some things i had questions about.

The book overall is great though. The photos and short descriptions make this book very entertaining.

If your a fan of Samhain like I am you will love this book.

Having heard about this book through a friend, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Currently it’s regrettably out of stock but my order’s been placed and the patience will pay off. I wanted this book before I realized it was published, but after having a question answered by Mr. Von himself I couldn’t withstand prolonging the inevitable, and ordered the book. Just from the teaser pages and the way Eerie answered my question about tips for an aspiring photographer, I knew that this book would not only provide insight to a few of my favorite bands, but ways to capture moments in time and at shows with fantastic bands.

    Eagerly awaiting the book!!

Long live the horror and Bloody kisses,

    Rae

  4. Classic Misfits, Samhain, Danzig photo footage is so rare and most of the photos already so well known – the full range of pics in this book is a real fresh glimpse into a unique time in music history. The high quality images are great, but Eerie’s unique narrative makes this a real treasure. Not much is understood about this era in contrast to the over-documented (but awesome) history of the Ramones, the Clash, etc. The Misfits and Samhain were pioneers opening the way to some of the best sounds of the last 20 years.

    THANKS EERIE

This is indisputably the coolest book I own or have ever seen. A beautiful hardcover with glossy pages chockful of Misfits, Samhain, and Danzig pics and accompanying stories. Really, for a fan of any of these three bands or all of them, this book is just a treasure. It’s not just a collection of pics you’ve seen, but also one’s you haven’t with many great, intimate moments in the studio and on tour. There’s a great one of Glenn with his head down on the piano, pictures from their trip to Scotland, another great one of a bottle of fake Samhain blood, pictures all the way back to Lodi, New Jersey. Amazing. I’m just kinda out of words to tell you how much I love this book.
