I have the XR500V. Does anyone know of a kickass battery?
The one that comes with it really sucks. I do alot of night shooting so far and with that it eats the battery up within an hour.
Overall cool review. I like the use of lower thirds.
Movie quality just has 16Mbps, but the other brands have 24Mbps.

@kiwibird0889 I just did a little search on sony website and it says that its online compatible with windows xp and vista, but if you have a computer you still can transfer from your computer to your mac because the video format is good with everything

@kiwibird0889 if your mac is recent it wont be a problem, but im not sure if its compatible…
i heard these kinds of cameras have bad “lagging” problems. when my friend converted videos to his computer to edit, he said it came out “laggy” because the image quality is so good that you have to down convert and it gives you problems.
How would this camera do if it were uploaded onto an iMAC with FINAL CUT PRO?

@SickRIPHumor all digital, hence the 240gb. And this is a shitload of money, its gunna take me a few full paycheacks I’ll tell youm that;)

No windows movie maker is shit. Just crack Sony Vegas 9 or something good. That is the only way you can take full advantage of the cameras quality, and even then you have to have the right template on the program to make its upload quality to be the best.
